BMS Design Engineer
Location: Austin
Salary: $80-110k base
Our client is a growing Building Automation company based in Austin. They have excellent relationships with a number of BAS OEMs to deliver high profile projects within the Austin and Round Rock areas. They are actively looking to hire a BAS Design Engineer to join their growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing contract plans, specifications, proposals, and budgets.
- Developing design project delivery schedule.
- Designing DDC control panels, wiring schematics, and system interfaces to control building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Selecting control system products and developing project bill of materials.
- Documenting system sequence of operations and operating parameters.
- Designing BMS communication networks.
- Developing electrical installation wiring diagrams and scopes of work.
Required skills:
- Previous experience with Distech and Siemens control lines
- Niagara N4 / AX certifications
- Able to read and understand architectural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and communication systems contract drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Able to work on multiple projects and varying project teams.
- Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering preferred.
The ideal candidate would be in a position to start quickly or within 2 weeks. The ideal candidate would also have recent experience with Distech and Siemens and have worked for OEMs and System Integrators previously.
Candidates must be US passport holders and be able to work in the US without VISA restrictions.
